VoyageLA: Meet Jenny Valles of Creative Fondue in Culver City
I never sat down and thought about how I got to where I am now. Sure, there was the career trajectory, the failures, lessons learned, and successes along the way. But, it wasn’t until VoyageLA came along and asked for a bit of insight on my story. This gave me the opportunity to look back on how I got started on my entrepreneurial journey.
I believe that building a work ethic and drive starts way before any job you get. When we are young, we find things that make us realize what passion truly is and how far we are willing to push ourselves to achieve our greatness. For me, my drive and vision of what success could be was created by dance.
If it wasn’t for dance, I would not be where I am today.
s/o to my street dance, Culture Shock LA, and Kaba Modern family for showing me what it means to work hard for yourself and for others, and do what you love. Here’s to all the late-night sessions, the battles, the sundown to sunrise practices (outside, rain or shine!), all the love, positivity, the community, and forever friendships.
What dance taught me is that if you love something so much, you’ll put in hours you can’t clock in.
